Kershaw, Clonal Selection Chardonnay Vintage:2015 finishing on a long-lingering licoriceThe 2016 Elgin Clonal Selection Chardonnay was picked in the morning, gently whole bunch pressed and aged in 40% new French oak for 10 months. This is the most reticent of Kershaws Chardonnays at the moment, holding everything back and demanding more coaxing from the glass. There is a real stony quality to the aromatics here. The palate is medium bodied with a subtle honeyed note on the entry, a little more rondeur than the CY 95, and a little more
