There is enough reduction to push the underlying fruit to the background though it clearly seems ripe

This is oaky stuff today but it’s impressively stylish all the same and the underlying material is so good that this should harmonize with time

Akarua, Rua Pinot Noir Vintage:2010 This is a bigger cuvéeDeep ruby purple colored, the 2010 Rua Pinot Noir gives aromas of ripe black cherries and mulberries with nuances of powdered cinnamon, mace and chocolate. Medium bodied and with a good amount of ripe berry flavors, it has crisp acidity and a medium level of velvety tannins, finishing long. Drink it now through 2014. Akarua does not currently have a USA importer.
