Mild reduction knocks down the nose but it seems reasonably clear that the underlying fruit is ripe

A notably floralinflected nose requires aggressive swirling to reveal its aromas of red currant

Camille Giroud, Corton Renardes Vintage:2022 (from a parcel of vinesA brooding and slightly grumpy nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of various dark berries, violet and plenty of sauvage and warm earth scents. The succulent yet powerful larger scaled flavors are not remarkably dense though they dont lack for punch on the vaguely sweet finish. This is perfectly good but not what I would call classic.
