Conspicuous Gallantry Cross Miniature Medal Campaign_GSM Army & RAF 1918-64 Awarded to recognise both militaryInstituted in 1993 as part of the restructuring of the honours system designed to remove distinction between ranks. The Royal Warrant, dated 7th February 1995 does not appear to have been published in the London Gazette. This cross replaced all previous level two awards for gallantry in action, namely CGM, CGM (Flying), DCM and the DSO (when this was awarded for gallantry).
