A Regency Mahogany Deception Table Decorative English circa 1910A Regency mahogany deception table, The rectangular top with a drop leaf to the one side and a fall front disguised as a drop leaf, brass release buttons to either side, gilt brass swan neck carrying handles, raised on square tapering legs English, 1790 1800. H: 73 W: 59 (39) D: 68 CM. A design for a 'Deception' table appears in the Gillow Estimate Sketch Books for June July 1787.
